This article is about the growing use
of MP3's.
Do you remember the days when we listened to tape players?
Now days, kids don't have the slightest idea of what they
are! To find a respectable one is something almost
impossible. And that's not all: CD's are on their way out
due to a new development called the MP3.
Thanks to MP3 you are able to save compressed music files
onto your computer or a MP3 player. These little inventions
have been on the market for quite long now. They also have
become cheaper than CD players and they are full of
benefits. You can either take an MP3 player while you are
jogging or working out or use it together with a tape
player to play through your car's stereo and speakers.
MP3's can be found acquired in a variety of different ways.
Any CD that you buy can be saved onto your computer as an
MP3 file and can be downloaded onto a portable MP3 player
so you can take it with you anywhere you go. Also, you can
buy MP3's off a number of online sites with one song
generally costing less than one dollar. There are also
sites that allow you to join a group and share music for
free, but these are illegal; many lawsuits have been filed
against such companies as Napster and the participants in
the scheme. These types of sites are illegal due to
copyright laws.
With the low cost of MP3's, they may eventually run the CD
out of business. In addition to being inexpensive, MP3's
also allow you to pick just the songs you want. We've all
bought CD's that had one song we really loved and a lot of
trash on them. With MP3's, you can pick and choose the
songs you really want rather than buying a bunch of songs
that you don't like anyway.
Although MP3~s have not overcome the entire population,
they are becoming increasingly popular with the younger
set. They can save money and still have all the music they
love without all the CD's that take up a lot of space and
money. In addition, you can't break an MP3 and as long as
you keep a backup file, you can keep the songs you love
forever. You can also create your own play lists that can be
changed at any time so that you can enjoy your favorite
songs or songs of the same genre together.
